Community Watch is one of the most effective and least costly ways to prevent crime and reduce fear in your neighborhood. It forges bonds among area residents, helps reduce burglaries and robberies, and improves relations between police and the communities they serve.  It is designed to educate community residents, encourage them to take active measures to prevent crime, and provide a forum to discuss neighborhood crime problems in collaboration with the police department to develop solutions to local problems.

Benefits of joining Community Watch include:
• Partnerships with law enforcement and your neighbors
• Reducing the risk of being a crime victim and an overall reduction in crime
• Being better prepared to respond to suspicious activity
• Increased information on issues that impact your neighborhood
• Reducing the fear of crime and making your neighborhood more livable
• A more secure and unified community
• Improved communications and community relations
