National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work. The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and your surroundings. National Night Out triumphs over a culture that isolates us from each other and allows us to rediscover our own communities. National Night Out campaigns involve community members, law enforcement, fire department, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations, and local officials from the City of Thornton.

Getting Permits

It is the coordinator’s responsibility to turn sound and alcohol permit applications in to the appropriate department. Be sure to submit the applications at least two weeks in advance to allow plenty of time for processing.

Blocking Streets

A traffic control permit is required for you to block off a portion of a Thornton public street for your party area. Residents must provide their own barricades/cones for blocking the street. The permit lists the detailed conditions and requirements.
