The team primarily responds to complaints and concerns involving domesticated animals. Animal Control does not routinely handle wildlife-related calls. Depending on the type of wildlife concern, residents may need to contact another agency or specialized wildlife resource.
Riverdale Animal Shelter and Adoption Center
Our officers partner with the Riverdale Animal Shelter and Adoption Center for lost and found pets and other pet services.
Wildlife Around Town
There are several species of wild animals found around town.
Goatkeeping
Miniature goats can make great pets who also provide ancillary benefits such as milk or fiber. Before deciding to keep goats on your residential property, it is important to understand that goats have different needs than a dog or cat.
Low Cost Pet Services
Our officers have compiled a list of resources for low cost pet services such as veterinarian services, rehoming, feeding and cremation.
